What's new

Changes you can see on the site.

October 2026

Report your pay from any page

  • A Report your pay button now sits in the top menu on every page. Research is in the footer.
  • Sign-up forms now ask for your last name.
October 2026

Invite an NP you trust

  • At the end of the tour, copy your invite link or share it by text, email or LinkedIn. It opens the same 60-second tour.
  • Shared links to our pages now show a clear preview image for each page and state.
October 2026

A quick tour for Founding NPs

  • A 60-second tour shows your state's typical rate, your own rate card and how five NP reports unlock a real pay number.
  • Add one rate right in the tour, anonymously. Find it at the bottom of every page.
October 2026

Fairer typical rates and a simpler rate check

  • Typical is now the middle of each insurer's own typical rate, so no single insurer sets the number.
  • Checking your rate, drafting a letter and looking up an NPI are simpler, with Save as PDF and Share.
  • Report your pay now shows how many NPs have shared and how many more each platform needs.
October 2026

Tell us what you think

  • A new Send feedback page, linked at the bottom of every page: rate a few things, tell us more and add screenshots.
October 2026

Your NPI on your dashboard

  • Add your NPI on My rates to see whether each insurer lists you below, about or above typical for your state.
  • The state picker shows which states have rates published, with your recent states first.
  • New to asking for more? Requests now walks you through a billing rate adjustment request.
October 2026

Find your NPI, even when it doesn't match

  • If an NPI isn't found, we now tell you why (a typo, an organization NPI, a license number) and suggest the right one.
  • Search the federal NPI registry by name right from the card.
  • Switching states on the home page is smoother and keeps your place.
October 2026

More of every page, one free sign-up away

  • Every page now ends with a clear next step: unlock free with your name and email to open every insurer and platform and get your dashboard.
  • Platforms show one sample in full; the rest open with the free unlock.
  • After you unlock, the dashboard is one click away.
October 2026

See your share card before you post it

  • Share my result now shows the card your link makes in a group chat, on LinkedIn or Facebook, right on the page.
  • Paid through a platform? Your rate card shows what insurers list for the platform's billing group, with a box for what actually reaches you.
October 2026

Get my letter, straight from the home page

  • Get my letter on the home page now opens your finished letter right away, even before you type your current rate. Your ask goes straight into it.
  • The letter page has its own 'I am requesting' box.
  • New, fuller Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy explain how anonymous, combined data is used for research and to push for better NP pay.
October 2026

Keep your rate letter in a free dashboard

  • Copying, emailing or downloading your rate letter now takes a quick free sign-up (name and email). It also saves the request in your dashboard so you can track the insurer's reply.
  • Share my result links now come back right away.
October 2026

Tell your rate card what you actually get paid

  • Your NPI rate card now asks what each insurer actually pays you, with one tap if it is about the typical rate. You see right away how it compares with the insurer's typical rate and with Medicare.
  • What you enter is saved on your device and anonymously, never with your name or NPI. Keep it in a free dashboard if you like.
October 2026

Keep your checked rates, and count your platform pay

  • Check my rate now saves your checks anonymously so you can keep them in a free dashboard. Nothing you type is published on its own.
  • Paid through a platform? One tap counts your pay toward that platform's numbers in your state, with the live count of 5 shown.
October 2026

Your state follows you, and a live report tracker

  • Pick your state once and the site remembers it on every page, including Check my rate and Add your pay.
  • Add your pay now shows how many NPs have reported for Alma, Grow, Headway and Rula in your state, with one tap to add yours.
  • The home rate card shows the top 5 insurers first, with a button to show them all.
October 2026

Aetna in every state

  • Aetna rates now show in all 25 states we cover, next to the other insurers and Medicare.
October 2026

More insurers in more states

  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield rates now show for Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.
  • Optum Behavioral Health now counts in 14 more states, so mental health rates have one more insurer there.
October 2026

Easier unlock and more platform states

  • The free unlock button now turns on as soon as your name, email and the Terms box are filled in.
  • 'How are you paid?' is now two simple steps: how you are paid, then (if it's a platform) which one.
  • Platform listed rates now show in more states, because billing entities are placed in the state they're registered for.
October 2026

A new home page

  • The home page now starts with your state: every insurer's typical rate for a follow-up visit, next to Medicare.
  • Explore any state by practice type and visit code, see the 10 largest NP states side by side, and compare platforms (listed rates, not pay).
  • Check your rate and write your letter side by side. You type the rate you want to ask for.
October 2026

Full detail, insurer pages and guides

  • Every state page now has a Full detail section: practice types, all 10 visit codes with Medicare and Medicaid, and each insurer by practice type.
  • New pages for each insurer in a state, for each visit code across all states, and an all-states list at /rates/.
  • Our research page, NP Reimbursement 2026, is now public, plus four guides, including a sourced Headway vs Grow vs Rula comparison.
October 2026

The new site is now the main site

  • Check my rate, the rate letter, the NPI card and the state pages now open in the new design for everyone.
  • The previous site, including the full state explorer, is still available at /classic/.
October 2026

A clearer rate letter and an easier unlock

  • In the new version of the site (preview): the rate letter adds the insurer's top 25%, Medicare, and asks for a written answer within 30 days. Copy it as an email or download it.
  • Platforms are listed A to Z.
  • New pages: what to do if an insurer says no, and NP pay reports by state.
October 2026

Try it first: answers before any sign-up

  • The new version of the site (in preview) opens with a quick tool for your situation: check a psych visit rate, see what your 1099 split leaves you, or score every insurer side by side.
  • The answer is free and instant. Extra numbers, like the top 25% each insurer pays, open with a free sign-up (first name, last name and email).
  • Share my result gives you a link and a short summary for a group chat. Your own rate is never in it.
October 2026

Massachusetts, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Alabama are live

  • Five more states, chosen because they have the most nurse practitioners of the states we didn't cover yet.
  • Alabama starts with 4 insurers and Kentucky with 3. Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Minnesota start with 2, and we say so on the page.
  • Illinois now includes Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, the state's largest insurer.
October 2026

Your rate letter, built from insurers' own numbers

  • The letter on your rate card now goes code by code: your rate, what the insurer pays similar practices, physician groups, Medicare, and what to ask for, with a yearly total.
  • Paid something different? Type what you're actually paid for any code. It stays in your browser.
  • Pick a first request, a 30-day follow-up or an escalation, then copy, print or download a PDF.
  • Every card now gets a letter, including a 'keep my rate' renewal letter when your rates are already fair.
October 2026

Colorado, Connecticut and Maryland, plus request an insurer

  • Colorado, Connecticut and Maryland are live. They start with 2 insurers each, and we say so on the page.
  • Missing an insurer? Each state's rates page now has a short form to request it. We'll email you when it's loaded.
  • New About page: meet the nurse practitioner who built NP Link Rates.
October 2026

All 17 states on every page

  • The pay-report form and our landing pages now let you pick any state we cover, including Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee and Washington.
October 2026

NP Rate Compare is now NP Link Rates

  • Same data, same tools, new name. NP Rate Compare is now NP Link Rates, the first tool from NP Link, an NP Collaborator company.
  • NP Link will add more free business tools for nurse practitioners over time. Your saved links keep working.
  • The Terms now name NP Link. The legal party is still NP Collaborator, LLC.
October 2026

Rate card in steps, and easier sharing

  • Some visitors now see their rate card in steps: enter your NPI to see how many insurers list it, confirm your name to see your Low / Average / High levels, then add your email to see the dollar amounts and your letter.
  • Sharing is simpler: one 'Share with a colleague' button, with the other options under 'More options'. Shared images show levels only, never your name, NPI or dollars.
  • Colleagues who open a shared card can check their own NPI right away.
  • Used your card or letter? You can tell us what happened. Stories stay private; we only ever show anonymous totals.
October 2026

A clearer home page

  • The home page now starts with the question most NPs have: are my insurers paying me less than other NPs? Enter your NPI to see it, or pick the option that describes you.
  • After checking an offer, you'll see a next step: a market-rate letter or the state's rates by email. Your state is remembered.
  • Reporting your pay? Optionally add what the insurer pays the platform, and see what the platform keeps.
  • Need a collaborating physician? A new box compares solo NP and NP + physician group listed rates in your state.
October 2026

Terms, and who makes this

  • NP Link Rates is built by NP Collaborator. You'll see it in every footer.
  • Saving rates or requesting a state now asks you to accept NP Collaborator's Terms and Conditions, which include occasional emails. Unsubscribe anytime.
October 2026

Share a check or a state's insurer gap in one tap

  • The offer check and every state page now have the same Text, WhatsApp, Email, Facebook and copy-post buttons. Your offered rate is never shared.
  • Opening a shared link shows the result first, then one tap takes you to the same state and visit, already filled in.
October 2026

Save your rates, send them anywhere, ask for your state

  • Saving a rate table now asks for your first name and role (both optional) so the report is addressed to you.
  • Sharing a table gives you one-tap Text, WhatsApp, Email, Facebook and a ready-to-paste post.
  • Not covered yet? Ask for your state on the new request page and see how many NPs asked for it.
October 2026

Rates for every insurer, in one table

  • New rates explorer for every state we cover: pick a visit and how you bill, and see every insurer next to Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Share any table as a link with a preview card.
  • Checking an offer now takes three inputs: state, insurer, offered rate.
  • Your rate card page shows a sample card and a sample market-rate letter before you look yourself up.
  • Reporting your platform pay takes four fields. You can see how close each platform is to being published (5 reports).
September 2026

Platform pay and colleague compare

  • See what insurers list for Headway, Grow, Rula and others, and what NPs report the platform pays them.
  • Compare your rate card with a colleague without sharing dollar amounts.
